How to Scan a QR Code on iPhone

Knowing how to scan a QR code with an iPhone can be useful in a variety of situations, as these barcodes have become an integral part of our daily lives. Whether you are trying to access a digital menu at a restaurant or read a Wi-Fi QR code on your iPhone to connect to a network, iOS offers a built-in scanner for this. Additionally, you can also scan a QR code on iPhone from a photo using this built-in feature. Read this guide to learn how to use a QR code on your iPhone without additional apps:

NOTE: I wrote this guide using an

iPhone 11 running iOS 18.2.1. Keep in mind that scanning a QR code on an iPhone using its built-in features is only available on iOS 11 and newer. Check your iOS version to make sure the options below are available on your iPhone.

1. How to Scan QR Codes on iPhone Using the Camera App
The Camera app is one of those paytm database things that makes the iPhone great because it helps even amateurs like me take amazing photos. Did you know that you can also use it to scan a QR code on your iPhone? First, open the Camera app by tapping its icon.

Then point your iPhone at the QR code you are trying to scan. Your iPhone reads the QR code and acts accordingly. For example, I took the screenpal (formerly screencast-o-matic) screenshot below while scanning the QR code for this website. The Camera app reads the QR code and shows an embedded link at the bottom. Tapping the link opens it using the default browser in iOS.

If the Camera app doesn’t read QR codes on your screen, check if this setting is enabled. Open Settings and access taiwan lead Camera Recording .
