“To belong to” is a synonym of the verb to be in the sense of having as property. It is us to talk about an animal or a thing.

For example, instead of saying “this backpack is my brother’s,” we can say “this backpack belongs to my brother.” Or “whose dog is this?” can be replac with “whose dog is this?”

Second verb: Correspond to

It means to be in agreement with, to agree with, to be similar to, or to be equal to.

For example: “The voice I heard on the phone  japan whatsapp number data  is my wife’s” can be replac by “the voice I heard on the phone matches my wife’s.” There is a connection, a similarity, between the voice heard on the phone and my wife’s, they match. Or “this story is not reality” can be replac by “this story does not match reality.”

Third: Find yourself

It is us in the form “se trouver + un lieu”, to be found outside. Here, it is a pronominal verb, “se trouver”, so we will obviously agree, we will say je me trouve, tu te trouves, il se trouve, etc. Se trouver simply means to be somewhere, to be in a specific place.

For example, instead of saying “I was in Paris when I heard the news,” you could say “I was in Paris when I heard the news.” Or, instead of saying “The toilets are on the first floor,” you could say “The toilets are on the first floor.”

Fourth: Figure

It means to be includ in, to be part of, to be mention. We use the verb “figurer” with a preposition. It can be “à”, “dans” or “sur”. And then, we indicate a place, a location. “Figurer” is us  selvam perumal with a preposition. It can be “à”, it can be “dans”, it can be “sur”. And then, we have an object, a thing.

For example, instead of saying “his name is not on the guest list”, you can say “his name is not on the guest list”. This means that his name is not part of the list, he is not mention on the list.

There are many other examples of “to be featur”. You can be featur in a ranking, in a book or in a movie, etc.

Fifth: Look good

“To look” has a notion of appearance. If I tell you “you look sick”, it means you seem sick. When I look at you, I have the impression that you are sick. And we can use it instead of the verb to be.

For example, instead of saying “he is happy to see his daughter getting marri”, we can say “he looks happy to see his daughter getting marri”. Here, it’s not quite the same. If we say “he is happy”, it’s a fact, we see that he is happy. If we say “he looks happy”, we are less sure. We add a little notion of uncertainty,

It means to be recogniz as true

we note that, we realize that. We use it with an adjective. It is “to prove + adjective”.

For example, instead of saying “this project is harder than expect,” you could say “this project is proving harder than expect.” Or, instead of saying “this micine is useless,” you could say “this micine is proving useless.”

There is a slightly more sustain construction which is “it turns out that”.

For example, instead of saying “this man is a complete list of unit phone numbers  very dangerous,” you could say “it turns out that this man is very dangerous.”

Seventh and last verb: Represent

It means to be the symbol of something.

For example, instead of saying “Marilyn Monroe is the archetypal femme fatale,” you could say “Marilyn Monroe represents the archetypal femme fatale.”

“Represent” can also be us in the sense of corresponding to something. There is a notion of equivalence here.

For example, instead of saying “the discovery of fire is a historical revolution,” you can say “the discovery of fire represents a historical revolution.”
